Anas wants money back, with interest



JAKARTA. Former chairman of the Democratic Party Anas Urbaningrum has called on the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) to return the money it seized from his home last month.Anas, currently chairman of the Indonesian Movement Association (PPI), said the KPK should return to money to him interest.KPK investigators raided the PPI office located at Jl. Teluk Langsa Block C4 No. 7 in Duren Sawit subdistrict and confiscated Rp 1 billion from the premises.The office was once one of Anas’ private homes.Anas said the cash seized from the office was in the form of donations from members of the organization.“The money came from friends; we had used some of it,” Anas said as quoted by tribunnews.com.
