Angelina Sondakh rushed to hospital

JAKARTA. Graft suspect Angelina Sondakh was rushed to the hospital after reportedly suffering from sinus problems on Tuesday afternoon. Angelina was escorted by two Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) officers and a policewoman.

The former Democratic Party deputy secretary general, who was arrested by the KPK on Friday evening, was taken at around 2:30 p.m. to Proklamasi Hospital, which specializes in ENT (ear, nose, and throat) treatments.

“My sinus problem relapsed. I have been having this problem for quite some time,” she said.

Angelina’s father, Lucky Sondakh and her mother in law, Ross Soeyono, were also seen at the hospital.

Angelina was detained by the KPK over her alleged involvement in two graft scandals; the Rp 191.7 billion (US$20.89 million) athletes’ village project in South Sumatra and for procurement projects involving several universities in the country. (The Jakarta Post)
