JAKARTA. The whereabouts of Angelina Sondakh remain unknown on Friday, the same day a government-ordered travel ban on the Democratic Party lawmaker went into effect. Deputy Law and Human Rights Deputy Minister Denny Indrayana also confirmed on Friday that a similar 12-month travel ban was now in place for Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDI-P) lawmaker Wayan Koster. Angelina, a former Miss Indonesia, was reportedly nowhere to be seen anywhere in the House of Representatives complex on Friday, nor was she at a scheduled meeting of Democratic Party lawmakers at the House.
One of Angelina’s staff members who declined to be named said Angelina was out sick on Wednesday but at the office on Thursday. However, another staff member, Dewo, said that Angelina came to the House on Friday but was not in her office.
