Antam's Winardi appointed as Inalum CEO

JAKARTA. State-Owned Enterprises Minister Dahlan Iskan has appointed state-run diversified mining firm PT Antam’s operations director, Winardi, as PT Indonesia Asahan Aluminium’s (Inalum) president director.

"Winardi is the president director of Inalum […] he graduated from the Bandung Institute of Technology in metallurgy," Dahlan said in Jakarta on Thursday after leading a weekly state-owned enterprises (SOE) meeting at Graha Mandiri, as quoted by Kontan.co.id.

He plans to officially inaugurate Winardi the day after tomorrow.

The minister said that Winardi had a capability to develop projects at Inalum as well as to increase the firm's production without having to import raw materials.

"The newly appointed president director has to support the development of Inalum in the future [...] he has to participate in developing an alumina refinery in Mempawah [West Kalimantan]," Dahlan continued. (nfo)
