JAKARTA. State-owned airport operator Angkasa Pura (AP) II, which runs 13 airports in Indonesia’s western regions, has said it is supporting the government’s efforts to make the country’s avtur tariffs more competitive than other ASEAN countries. “Obviously, we support more competitive avtur tariffs, because they can push national airline industry growth, especially to increase the competitiveness of both national airlines and domestic airports,” AP II commercial director Faik Fahmi said as quoted by Antara in Jakarta on Sunday. He said a competitive avtur tariffs could directly increase the competitiveness of airports nationwide, including Soekarno-Hatta International Airport in Jakarta.
