As many as eight out of 21 leaders of Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) economies arrived in Nusa Dua, Bali, on Saturday to attend the 2013 APEC Summit, using business and military jets that will be parked at Ngurah Rai International Airport until the summit ends on Oct. 8. Mexican President Enrique Pena Nieto was the first leader to arrive in Bali, according to a press release by the APEC Summit organizing committee. The Mexican Air Force Zero jet carrying the president and delegates touched down at 2:30 p.m. Papua New Guinea Prime Minister Peter O'Neill arrived at 4 p.m., 45 minutes before the Garuda Indonesia jet carrying the host, Indonesian President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono, touched down.
