KONTAN.CO.ID - JAKARTA. PT Kereta Api Indonesia China (KCIC) will implement a dynamic pricing scheme or rates for the more flexible Whoosh High-Speed Train journeys starting from February 3, 2024.

With this new scheme, the fare for Whoosh Premium Economy class will range from Rp 150,000, Rp 175,000, Rp 200,000, Rp 225,000, to Rp 250,000.

KCIC's Corporate Communication Manager, Emir Monti, said that with the implementation of this economic fare, KCIC targets an occupancy increase to above 80% this year.

"The target is expected to increase occupancy to above 80%," he said when contacted by KONTAN, Monday (29/1).

As of January 29, 2024, as many as 1.5 million people have used Whoosh for mobility between Jakarta and Bandung and vice versa. Currently, the average occupancy ranges around 60% to 80%. 

In addition to economic fares, Woosh has collaborated with 12 famous tourist destinations, culinary spots, and accommodations in the Bandung area in the form of free entry tickets or discounts for people who have Whoosh tickets.  

The 12 tourist destinations that have collaborated with the Free Entry promo include Dusun Bambu, Farmhouse, Floating Market, The Great Asia Afrika, Tepi Danau, Tepi Kota Healing, The Lodge Maribaya & Fairy Garden Bandung, Dago Dream Park and Papa Dino.
