KONTAN.CO.ID - JAKARTA. Bank Indonesia (BI), Indonesia's central bank, projects the February 2019 trade balance to be a surplus. After the BI Governor Perry Warjiyo conveyed this last week, now BI Deputy Governor Dody Budi Waluyo confirmed the prediction. "The surplus comes from the non-oil and gas balance sheet," Dody explained when contacted by Kontan.co.id, Thursday (3/14). It is estimated that in February 2019 the non-oil and gas trade balance surplus will outweigh the oil and gas trade balance deficit. The performance of the non-oil and gas trade balance improved from the previous month's deficit of US $ 704.7 million.
