JAKARTA. Good news for those who want to join tax amnesty. Recently, numbers of banks are preparing a credit program for tax amnesty’s redemption fees. In other words, tax amnesty participants can apply a credit to bank as a method of settling the redemption fees. This opportunity can be an alternative option for taxpayers who have to pay large amount of fee but do not have adequate cash to settle their obligations in a short period of time. As is known, the government is targeting IDR165 trillion of revenue from tax amnesty program. Domestic banks have seen the huge potential to design a credit program to channel the redemption fees of tax amnesty. One of the banks, BCA is now preparing to allocate capital to fund the redemption fees settlement. BCA estimates that this program will be attractive for taxpayers. However, the bank has not yet decided the scheme and the amount of interest rate of the credit.
