JAKARTA. The Bank Indonesia board of governors decided to keep the central bank's benchmark interest rate (BI rate) at 7.5 percent during a meeting on Tuesday. “The board also decided to let the deposit interest facility stand at 5.5 percent and the lending interest rate facility at 7.25 percent,” BI governor Agus Martowardojo said, on Tuesday. “BI will also continue to improve coordination with the government, especially in managing inflation and the current-account deficit,” he added.
