BP Jamsostek Managed Funds Increase 13.45% to IDR 728.39 trillion Q1-2024



KONTAN.CO.ID - JAKARTA. The Indonesian Workers Social Security Agency, also known as BP Jamsostek, reported a growth in managed funds in the first quarter of 2024. The Deputy of Communication for BPJS Ketenagakerjaan stated that the total managed funds grew by 13.45% on a year-on-year (YoY) basis.

"The funds managed in the first quarter of 2024 amounted to IDR 728.39 trillion, while in the first quarter of 2023, the managed investment funds were IDR 642 trillion," the Deputy of Communication for BPJS Ketenagakerjaan revealed to Kontan recently.

The Deputy of Communication for BPJS Ketenagakerjaan disclosed that the company's largest investment instrument portion is in bonds, with a portion exceeding 70%.

Meanwhile, the investment returns in the first quarter of 2024 were recorded at IDR 12.31 trillion. The Deputy of Communication for BPJS Ketenagakerjaan conveyed that this figure has already fulfilled 22.36% of the total target set for this year.

The target for BPJS Ketenagakerjaan's investment returns this year is IDR 55.04 trillion.

In detail, the Deputy of Communication for BPJS Ketenagakerjaan reported that the Old Age Guarantee (JHT) Investment returns in the first quarter of 2024 reached IDR 7.79 trillion. The Pension Guarantee Program's investment returns were IDR 2.79 trillion in the first quarter of 2024. 

Overall, they claim that the investment returns for the JHT program and Pension Guarantee experienced an increase compared to the position in the first quarter of 2023.
