Bukit Asam (PTBA) and Krakatau Chandra Energi Partner For a Solar Power Plant



KONTAN.CO.ID-JAKARTA. PT Bukit Asam Tbk (PTBA) through PT Bukit Energi Investama (BEI) is exploring synergy in the development of Solar Power Plants (PLTS) and other electricity service business opportunities with PT Krakatau Chandra Energi (KCE).

The President Director of PT Bukit Energi Investama (BEI), Biverli Binanga, explained that this collaboration is one of the efforts to support energy transition and the achievement of the Net Zero Emission target by 2060 set by the Government. 

"Through this agreement, we want to encourage business practices that have a positive impact on nature conservation. We also believe that this collaboration can provide economic benefits," he said in an official statement.

The President Director of PT Krakatau Chandra Energi (KCE), Erri Dewi Riani, revealed that this collaboration is a concrete step in sustainable business practices of the Chandra Asri Group through one of its subsidiaries to continue providing infrastructure solutions in the field of power generation, electricity services, and renewable energy. 

"We remain committed to supporting the Government's targets and running a clean energy-based business while creating a better life in the future," she said.

Meanwhile, the Director of Business Development of PT Bukit Asam Tbk (PTBA), Rafli Yandra, stated that as the parent company of PT BEI, PTBA wants to continue contributing to maintaining national energy resilience. Therefore, sustainable business is a necessity. 

"We want to provide endless energy for the country. The company is committed to continuing to play a role in maintaining national energy resilience while preserving the environment," he said.

For information, PT Bukit Energi Investama (BEI) is a subsidiary of PT Bukit Asam Tbk which is engaged in investment in the energy sector, including investment in solar power development facilities/installations. 

Meanwhile, PT Krakatau Chandra Energi (KCE), which is engaged in power generation, electricity services, and renewable energy, is a subsidiary of PT Chandra Asri Pacific Tbk, a company that is engaged in leading chemical and infrastructure solutions in Indonesia.
