City to revise public transportation routes

JAKARTA. The Jakarta administration plans to review all public transportation routes, including those of public minivans, Kopaja and Metro Mini buses to cut travel times.

Acting Jakarta governor Basuki “Ahok” Tjahaja Purnama said at City Hall on Tuesday that the Transportation Agency was mapping the new routes.

“We are thinking of inserting inspections roads along the new routes,” he said.

Ahok also called on the public to not criticize his electronic ticketing (e-ticketing) system. “Through the e-ticketing system, we can keep track of people’s journeys,” he said.
