Densus 88 arrests another Poso terror suspect

JAKARTA. The National Police’s Densus 88 counterterrorism unit arrested on Monday another suspected terrorist linked to the Santoso gang responsible for a bombing in Poso, Central Sulawesi.

“At 7 a.m. local time on Monday, Densus 88 cooperating with the Central Sulawesi Police arrested suspect Imran alias Legenda,” said National Police spokesman Sr. Comr. Agus Rianto on Monday as quoted by Antara news agency.

He said Imran did not try to resist arrest at his house in Tabalu village, Mapane subdistrict, Poso, Central Sulawesi.

Rianto stated that Imran was believed to have hidden Santoso and offered shelter to the members of his terrorist group. “He also acted as Santoso’s courier and had facilitated a meeting between Santoso and his wife,” he claimed.

In the past three days, seven terror suspects have been arrested in Central and South Sulawesi.
