KONTAN.CO.ID-JAKARTA. The operational performance of PT Indocement Tunggal Prakarsa Tbk (INTP) successfully grew throughout 2023. INTP recorded a cement sales volume of 17.5 million tons in 2023, or an increase of about 9% compared to sales achievements in 2022.

This figure exceeds management estimates, where previously, INTP predicted that last year's sales could grow in the range of 4%.

INTP Corporate Secretary Dani Handajani said the 9% increase in cement sales volume was due to the successful leasing of the Maros Factory which was able to increase Indocement's sales volume in Sulawesi, Nusa Tenggara, and Eastern Indonesia.

“In addition, we also managed to increase sales volume in Sumatra and Kalimantan, and maintain our market share in Java,’ Dani told Kontan.co.id, Monday (29/1).

INTP noted the demand for cement in Indonesia in 2023 grew by about 3.6% compared to last year. The increase occurred almost throughout Indonesia except in Sulawesi. 

The highest percentage growth was achieved by Kalimantan by 22%, this is closely related to the ongoing construction project of the Nusantara Capital City (IKN).
