JAKARTA. An officer with Jakarta Traffic Police Brig. Dede Priyatna reported on Wednesday that some section of the access road from Soekarno-Hatta International Airport to Jakarta was swamped in rainwater, forcing the police to reduce the traffic to two lanes from the existing three lanes. “The traffic from the airport heading to Jakarta in the 24 kilometer mark is bogged down since there are deluge as deep as 30 centimeters,” Dede said on Wednesday. Dede added some duty officers were on the field to direct the traffic. He added that the toll road operator Jasa Marga had been operating a portable pump to siphon the water out the road.
