The number of foreign tourist arrivals in Indonesia in May rose by 7.37 percent to 752,400 tourists as compared to April of last year, Central Statistics Agency (BPS) data revealed on Tuesday. In addition, foreign tourist arrivals in May exceeded foreign tourist arrivals in April by 3.58 percent. “The number of foreign visitors to Indonesia entering the country via Ngurah Rai International Airport in Bali, the main international gateway for tourists to Indonesia, grew by 16.78 percent to 286,000 people in May 2014,” BPS head Suryamin said in Jakarta on Tuesday, as quoted by the official BPS website.
