JAKARTA. Government continues to accelerate land certification. It is expected that all lands in Indonesia will be certified by 2025. Minister of Agrarian and Spatial/Head of National Land Agency Sofyan Djalil said that the government sets to issue certificates for 1.3 million lots of lands. "It is expected that the certification program will reach 5 million, 6 million, and 7 million lots of lands in 2017, 2018, and 2019, respectively. The government expects to certify 10 million lots of lands in every year after 2019," said Sofyan. In order to achieve the target of land certification, the Ministry will recruit private surveyors to involve in land surveying. To date, the Ministry is drafting regulation regarding the involvement of private land surveyors. "Next year, government will involve 2,500-3,0000 surveyors to assist people in land surveying so that they do not need to go to National Land Agency (for land surveying)," Minister Sofyan said.
