The government is maintaining its decision to appoint Bali as host of the 2018 International Monetary Fund (IMF)-World Bank annual meeting to be held on Oct 8 to 14, amid concerns over ongoing volcanic activity on Mount Agung. Coordinating Maritime Affairs Minister Luhut Pandjaitan, an organizing committee chairman, said on Friday that the volcanic activity would not affect Nusa Dua, where the meeting would take place. "The government will not change any planned activities in Bali. We also have no plans to change the location of the IMF-World Bank meeting," he said during his visit to a volcanic observation post in Karangasem regency, Bali.
