The youth and sports minister has promised to immediately arrange cash bonuses to be given to Rio Olympic medalists, with badminton mixed doubles gold medalists Tontowi Ahmad and Liliyana Natsir set to receive the highest amount of Rp 5 billion (US$381,388) each. “We will immediately process [the cash bonuses]. Hopefully, the process will be completed in the next three weeks, as we need to follow certain administrative procedures,” said assistant to the youth and sports minister for sports achievement upgrades, Gatot S.
