JAKARTA. Concert promoter Adrie Subono claimed that the love story between former president BJ Habibie and his late wife Hasri Ainun Habibie, which is going to make its way to the big screen, is better than the tale of Romeo and Juliet.

Adrie, a nephew of Ainun, was speaking on the sidelines of a book launch entitled Ainun Habibie: Kenangan Tak Terlupakan di Mata Orang-Orang Terdekat (Ainun Habibie: Unforgettable Memories from Friends and Families).

“The tale of Romeo and Juliet was fictional, but their [Habibie and Ainun] story was real,” Adrie said as quoted by tribunnews.com on Thursday evening.

He added that the film, slated to hit the big screens on Aug. 11 (the date of Ainun’s birthday), will be based on a book called Habibie & Ainun.

“Any scene depicted from the movie must get an approval from Pak Habibie because it was based on a true story,” Adrie said.

The movie is produced by MD Entertainment with Faozan Rizal as the director. (TheJakartaPost)
