KONTAN.CO.ID - JAKARTA. PT HM Sampoerna Tbk (HMSP) recorded a positive performance in the first quarter of 2024, reflected in its earnings of Rp 2.2 trillion. 

According to the financial report released on the Indonesia Stock Exchange website on Thursday (25/4), HMSP's net income attributable to the parent entity in the first quarter of 2024 amounted to Rp 2.2 trillion, an increase of 4.7% compared to the same period in 2023, which was Rp 2.1 trillion. 

Similarly, net sales in the first quarter of 2024 amounted to Rp 29.1 trillion. This figure represents an 8.1% increase compared to the same period in 2023, which was Rp 26.9 trillion.

However, this increase in HMSP's sales was also accompanied by a rise in the cost of goods sold by 9.9% to Rp 24.3 trillion. In the same period in 2023, HMSP recorded a cost of goods sold of Rp 22.1 trillion.

Meanwhile, the total assets of HMSP also slightly increased to Rp 55.8 trillion from previously Rp 55.3 trillion. As for the total liabilities of HMSP in the first quarter of 2024, it stood at Rp 23.6 trillion and total equity amounted to Rp 32.1 trillion.
