KONTAN.CO.ID - JAKARTA. Lippo Group CEO James Riady answered reporters' questions after undergoing an examination for approximately nine hours at the Corruption Eradication Commission Building (KPK).

James said he did not know and was not involved in bribery cases related to the management of the Meikarta project permit. "I want to emphasize that I do not know and not involved in the bribery case in Bekasi," he said when he left the KPK Building, Tuesday (10/30).

In the examination which took place on Tuesday (30/10), KPK investigators submitted 59 questions to James. "The KPK asked a lot of things. I answered the question cooperatively," he added.


James also explained about his meeting with the Regent of Bekasi, Neneng Hasanah Yasin. He confirmed his meeting with Neneng. But at the meeting, James denied that there was a discussion of the Meikarta project permit. He claimed to have visited Neneng at his residence to congratulate her on the birth of the non-active regent's child.

"I stopped by to her house to congratulate her. There are no other discussions, such as talks about permits or business," he explained.

The KPK has named nine suspects in this case. Billy Sindoro Lippo Group Operational Director, Taryudi Lippo Group Consultant, Fitra Djaja Purnama Konsultan Purnama, and Henry Jasmen Lippo Group employees are parties suspected of committing bribes.

The party suspected of accepting the bribe was Neneng Hasanah Yasin, Regent of Bekasi Regency, Jamaluddin, Head of the PUPR Office, Sahat MJB Nahar, Head of the District Fire Department.
