IDX Composite Falls 0.29% to 7,255 in Tuesday's (5/3) Session I



KONTAN.CO.ID - JAKARTA. The IDX Composite Stock Price Index (IHSG) fell at the end of the first session today, continuing its decline for the fourth consecutive day. On Tuesday (5/3), the IHSG weakened by 0.29% or 20.92 points to 7,255.83 until the end of the first trading session at the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX).

Ten sectoral indices weakened along with the IHSG. Only the energy sector strengthened by 0.26%. 

The property and real estate sector plunged 1.16%. The health sector fell 0.85%. The transportation and logistics sector collapsed 0.76%. The infrastructure sector was cut by 0.76%. The primary consumer goods sector fell 0.74%. 


The non-primary consumer goods sector fell 0.63%. The raw materials sector fell 0.39%. The financial sector fell 0.38%. The technology sector weakened 0.28%. The industrial sector eroded 0.22%.

The top gainers of LQ45 until noon today are:

  • PT ESSA Industries Indonesia Tbk (ESSA) 3.88%
  • PT Bukit Asam Tbk (PTBA) 3.35%
  • PT Vale Indonesia Tbk (INCO) 2.44%
The top losers of LQ45 consist of:

  • PT Bank Tabungan Negara Tbk (BBTN) -4.61%
  • PT Barito Pacific Tbk (BRPT) -3.94%
  • PT Merdeka Battery Materials Tbk (MBMA) 3.54%
The total volume of stock exchange transactions reached 9.93 billion shares with a transaction value of IDR 5.11 trillion. As many as 322 stocks weakened. There are 189 stocks that strengthened and 238 stocks flat.

The IHSG recorded a decline of 0.40% in the last week. Since the beginning of the year, the IHSG has fallen 0.23%.
