IDX Composite (IHSG) Closed Up 0.47% to 7,336 on Tuesday (19/3)



KONTAN.CO.ID - JAKARTA. The IDX Composite Index (IHSG) strengthened until the close of trading today. On Tuesday (19/3), the IHSG strengthened by 0.47% or 34.3 points to 7,336.75 until the end of trading on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (BEI). 

Seven sectoral indices lifted the IHSG into the green zone. The primary consumer goods sector surged 1.08%. The energy sector soared 0.73%. The property and real estate sector rose 0.68%. The infrastructure sector strengthened 0.65%. The industrial sector climbed 0.29%. The financial sector rose 0.11%.

Four sectors fell as the IHSG strengthened. The technology sector was cut by 0.89%. The primary consumer goods sector fell 0.46%. The raw materials sector weakened 0.16%. The transportation and logistics sector eroded 0.11%.

Today's LQ45 top gainers are:

  • PT ESSA Industries Indonesia Tbk (ESSA) 5.26%
  • PT Charoen Pokphand Indonesia Tbk (CPIN) 3.40%
  • PT Perusahaan Gas Negara Tbk (PGAS) 3.23%
The LQ45 top losers consist of:

  • PT Saratoga Investama Sedaya Tbk (SRTG) -5.23%
  • PT Mitra Adiperkasa Tbk (MAPI) -4.20%
  • PT Merdeka Battery Materials Tbk (MBMA) -3.53%
The total volume of stock exchange transactions reached 16.3 billion shares with a transaction value of IDR 9.6 trillion. As many as 257 stocks strengthened. There are 251 stocks that weakened and 262 stocks flat.

The IHSG still recorded a decline of 0.61% in the last five trading days. Meanwhile, since the beginning of the year, the IHSG has strengthened 0.88%.
