IDX Composite Index Closed at Record High of 7,421 on Wednesday (13/3)



KONTAN.CO.ID - JAKARTA. The IDX Composite Index (IHSG) strengthened to a new record today. On Wednesday (13/3), the IHSG rose 0.53% or 39.30 points to 7,421.21 until the end of trading on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (BEI).

The highest level of the IHSG throughout the day was at Rp 7,441.62.

Six sectoral indices supported the rise of the IHSG. The raw materials sector surged 2.61%. The infrastructure sector soared 0.96%. The health sector rose 0.74%. The financial sector climbed 0.58%. The non-primary consumer goods sector strengthened 0.32%. The primary consumer goods sector rose 0.11%.


Meanwhile, five sectors fell as the IHSG strengthened. The energy sector collapsed 2.40%. The technology sector fell 1.64%. The industrial sector was cut 0.80%. The transportation and logistics sector fell 0.43%. The property and real estate sector weakened 0.23%.

Today's LQ45 top gainers are:

  • PT Bank Syariah Indonesia Tbk (BRIS) 9.62%
  • PT Vale Indonesia Tbk (INCO) 7.77%
  • PT ESSA Industries Indonesia Tbk (ESSA) 7.41%
The LQ45 top losers consist of:

  • PT GoTo Gojek Tokopedia Tbk (GOTO) -4.29%
  • PT Bukit Asam Tbk (PTBA) -3.46%
  • PT United Tractors Tbk (UNTR) -2.69%
The total volume of stock exchange transactions reached 17.6 billion shares with a transaction value of Rp 20 trillion. As many as 334 stocks weakened. There are 208 stocks that strengthened and 233 stocks flat.

The IHSG recorded an increase of 1.99% in the last five trading days. Since the beginning of the year, the IHSG has gained 2.04%.
