Indonesia composite index closed down 88.47 points or 1.53%



KONTAN.CO.ID - JAKARTA. The Indonesia Stock Exchange Composite Index (IHSG) closed down 88.47 points or 1.53% to 5,709 at the end of the trading session on Wednesday (10/24).

All sectors also fell. The infrastructure sector collapsed to 3.44%, the consumer goods sector weakened 1.97%, and the basic industrial sector reduced 1.88%.

The manufacturing sector fell 1.77%, followed by the plantation sector down 1.49%.


Within a day, 9.46 billion shares changed hands with a total value of Rp 6.96 trillion.

1. PT Indo Tambangraya Megah Tbk (ITMG) (4.14%) 2. PT Chandra Asri Petrochemical Tbk (TPIA) (3.13%) 3. PT Lippo Karawaci Tbk (LPKR) (2.68%)

Foreign investors recorded net sales of Rp 686.85 on all trading boards.

Shares with the largest overseas net sales were PT Telekomunikasi Indonesia Tbk (TLKM) Rp 227 billion, PT Holcim Indonesia Tbk (SMCB) Rp 173.7 billion, and PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BBCA) Rp 107.4 billion.

Shares with the largest net foreign purchases were PT Astra International Tbk (ASII) Rp 86.5 billion, PT Bank Mandiri (Persero) Tbk (BMRI) Rp 41.3 billion, and PT Semen Indonesia Tbk (SMGR) Rp 30.7 billion.
