JAKARTA. After experiencing deflation for two consecutive months, Indonesia suffered inflation in November due to a hike in rice prices. The Central Statistics Agency (BPS) reported on Tuesday that the country’s inflation rate stood at 0.21 percent in November. The calendar year inflation rate, for the period of January-October, stood at 2.37 percent, while year-on-year inflation stood at 4.89 percent. The BPS further revealed that Indonesia’s core inflation in November stood at 0.16 percent. Meanwhile, year-to-date core inflation stood at 3.72 percent and 4.77 percent for year-on-year core inflation.
