Indonesia's AMMN, BUMI Slide Over 4% as LQ45 Losses Widen; MBMA Bucks the Trend



KONTAN.CO.ID - JAKARTA — Shares across Indonesia's LQ45 index of the most liquid blue chips fell broadly on Friday, September 18, with mining names among the hardest hit even as one battery-metals stock rallied against the tide.

Total trading value on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) jumped to Rp19.3 trillion from Rp13.9 trillion in the prior session.

Foreign investors were heavy net sellers, offloading a net 3.90 billion shares worth Rp1.79 trillion.


The price-to-earnings ratio (PER) measures how many times a stock's price exceeds its per-share earnings.

The price-to-book ratio (PBV) compares a stock's price with its per-share net asset value.

PT Adaro Andalan Indonesia (AADI) led declines in this basket, sliding 3.23%. PT Trimegah Bangun Persada (NCKL), PT Bank Negara Indonesia (BBNI), PT Bank Mandiri (BMRI) and PT Indofood Sukses Makmur (INDF) each fell more than 2%. PT Aneka Tambang (ANTM) was the sole gainer, up 1.83%, while PT Bank Tabungan Negara (BBTN) was flat.

PT Amman Mineral Internasional (AMMN) posted the steepest decline of all 20 stocks tracked, down 4.49%, extending a reversal that began in the prior session. PT Bumi Resources (BUMI) slid 4.46%, followed by PT United Tractors (UNTR), down 3.40%, and PT Darma Henwa (DEWA), off 3.14%. PT Merdeka Battery Materials (MBMA) defied the broader selloff, jumping 4.81%, while PT Indah Kiat Pulp & Paper (INKP) retained the lowest PBV among all 20 names at 0.37 times.

GOTO, BRPT Both Unchanged

PT GoTo Gojek Tokopedia (GOTO) and PT Barito Pacific (BRPT) both closed unchanged from the previous session.
