Indonesia's Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs, Airlangga Hartarto, has revealed that the country's digital economy, currently valued at US$ 90 billion, is projected to rise to US$ 130 billion by 2025. This aligns with the potential growth of the digital economy in the ASEAN region, which has a population of approximately 600 million. With the implementation of the Digital Economy Framework Agreement (DEFA), the value of the digital economy in the ASEAN region by 2030, initially estimated by various study institutions to reach US$ 1 trillion, is expected to increase to as much as US$ 2 trillion.
