The Jakarta Police have become the first to adopt a non-cash payment system for the issuance and renewal of driver’s licenses as they have joined hands with ride-hailing app GoJek’s digital payment platform, GoPay. The new system is part of efforts to improve public services through embracing technological developments, Jakarta Police traffic division director Sr. Comr. Yusuf said. “We hope that this innovation will help us provide services that are fast, safe, easy and transparent, so that the public can also be more confident in conducting their activities and trust our public assistance,” Yusuf said on Monday.
