JAKARTA. President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo opened on Thursday the annual International Handicraft Trade Fair, or Inacraft, at the Jakarta Convention Center JCC. The handicraft exhibit will run through April 30 and involve 1,392 participants. Jokowi expressed his appreciation for the progress Indonesia’s handicraft and creative industries have made, and hoped relevant businesses will continue to contribute significantly to the Indonesian economy. “The craft and creative industry has grown rapidly in Indonesia. I am convinced that the future of Indonesia will be in the handicraft and creative industry,” the President said at JCC on Wednesday as reported by tempo.co.
