KUR allocation has not been optimum



JAKARTA. The allocations of people’s business credit (KUR) of some banks have not been optimum as of the early of this year.

For an example, as of 10 February 2017, PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (BRI) had just allocated Rp 3 trillion KUR or only 4.2% of the total allocation target for this year as much as Rp 71.2 trillion.

As of February 2017 BRI has allocated Rp 2.86 trillion and Rp 150 billion KURs to micro debtors and retail debtors, respectively, said Director of Micro of BRI Mohammad Irfan, Wednesday (15/2).


Last year, BRI allocated as much as Rp 69.4 trillion KUR. As comparison, the total KUR allocation in 2016 amounted to Rp 100 trillion.

Meanwhile, as of 15 February, PT Bank Negara Indonesia Tbk (BNI) has allocated as much as Rp 175 billion. That number has just reached about 1.4% of the total KUR’s allocation target of BNI in 2017 that amount to Rp 12 trillion. In 2016, the realization of BNI’s KUR allocation amounted to Rp 11.5 trillion.

Chief of Commercial Business and Small Enterprise Division of BNI Bambang Kuncoro predicts that as per the end of February 2017, the bank’s KUR allocation could reach Rp 1 trillion.

Aside of BRI and BNI, Bank Mandiri is mandated to allocate KUR in a significant number, as much as Rp 13 trillion in 2017. This number is relatively equal with the amount of KUR allocation in 2016.

Deputy of Financing Affairs of the Ministry of Cooperative and Small Medium Enterprises Braman Setyo said, the KUR has just been disbursed on 18 January 2017 after the meeting of KUR’s Policy Committee so that the credit allocation has not yet been optimum.

This year, the allocation of Rp 110 trillion KUR involves 33 banks as the dealers. About Rp 96.2 trillion of that number have been allocated to three state owned banks, namely BRI, Mandiri, and BNI.

Aside of those three state owned banks, Bank Artha Graha and Bank Jabar Banten are also mandated to channel as much as Rp 3 trillion and Rp 1 trillion, respectively. However, most of the numbers will be allocated to the retail segment. (Muhammad Farid)
