KONTAN.CO.ID - JAKARTA. PT Lippo General Insurance Tbk (LPGI) is set to distribute cash dividends worth IDR 8.1 billion from the 2023 fiscal year, with LPGI's profit for that period amounting to IDR 24.88 billion.

According to its disclosure, the per-share dividend to be distributed by the Lippo Group subsidiary is IDR 27 per share. LPGI currently has 300 million shares in circulation.

Compared to the dividend distribution in the previous year, the value of the per-share dividend appears to be decreasing. In the previous year, LPGI distributed a dividend per share worth IDR 54 per share.

However, when viewed in terms of the dividend ratio, LPGI appears to be increasingly loyal in distributing dividends with a ratio of 32.53% of total profit. Previously, LPGI only provided a dividend ratio of about 21.95% of profit.

Indeed, in 2023, LPGI's profit appears to have decreased from the previous year. In 2022, LPGI was able to reap a profit of IDR 73.83 billion, which means a decrease of up to 196.74% year-on-year (YoY).

Furthermore, LPGI's dividend distribution will be paid on May 31, 2024. The ex-dividend date in the regular and negotiation markets falls on May 8, 2024.

Meanwhile, the ex-dividend date in the cash market for this LPGI dividend distribution falls on May 14, 2024. That date is the deadline for the List of Shareholders (DPS) entitled to cash dividends.
