KONTAN.CO.ID -  JAKARTA. Veteran investor Lo Kheng Hong revealed the stock sectors he favors in 2024. According to Lo Kheng Hong, there are two stock sectors worth considering this year, namely the banking and coal sectors.

Lo Kheng Hong stated this when attending the inauguration of Professor Lukas Setia Atmadja at Prasetya Mulya University, on Tuesday (5/3).

According to Lo Kheng Hong, banking stocks are attractive to collect because they have proven to have good performance with profits increasing every year. Meanwhile, coal issuers are also still generous in terms of distributing dividends.

In addition, these two sectors also meet Lo Kheng Hong's criteria for selecting stocks, which are fundamentally good and have cheap valuations. He is optimistic that stocks from these two sectors will continue to increase.

“If the situation is safe and peaceful, we hope that stocks can rise like that,” said Lo Kheng Hong to KONTAN.

Currently, Lo Kheng Hong is known to hold several banking stocks such as  PT Bank OCBC NISP Tbk (NISP) and also PT Bank CIMB Niaga Tbk (BNGA). 

In conducting investments, Lo Kheng Hong is famous for applying a long-term time horizon, so he said he will not rebalance his portfolio at this time.
