JAKARTA. Months after the global launch in London last October, Nokia Indonesia will release the first smartphones using the Windows Phone operating system, the Lumia 800 and Lumia 710, in Jakarta on Feb. 17. The launch of the Lumia series could tighten competition in the local smartphone market, which BlackBerry, Android and Apple’s iPhone currently dominate. “We are proud to introduce these two smartphones to Indonesia. They will be followed by other products,” Nokia Indonesia product manager Anvid Erdian said on Thursday.
