This policy is outlined in Government Regulation (PP) Number 25 of 2024 Concerning Amendments to PP No. 96/2021 on the Implementation of Mineral and Coal Mining Business Activities. Yuliot Tanjung, Deputy for Investment Climate Development at the Ministry of Investment/Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM), stated that currently, the only religious organization that has applied for a new mining business permit (IUP) is Nahdlatul Ulama (NU). "The process for NU is still ongoing," Yuliot clarified yesterday.
