JAKARTA. Governor Basuki “Ahok” Tjahaja Purnama has said that Jakarta Housing Agency head Ika Lestari Aji had received money from someone who claimed to own a plot of land in Cengkareng, West Jakarta, that was acquired by the agency to be used for low-cost apartments. The governor said that Ika told him that she had received Rp 10 billion (US$755,573) in January from Toeti Noeziar Soekarno, the woman who claimed to own the land. It was later revealed that the land was owned by the Jakarta Fisheries, Agriculture and Food Security Agency. “Ika reported the money to me, which she said was a gift from a land seller. I was suspicious. There must be something wrong. Therefore, I ordered her to report it to the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK),” Ahok said at City Hall on Tuesday.
