PT Pertamina Marine Engineering (PME), a subsidiary of PT Pertamina Trans Kontinental (PTK), has completed four underwater work services (UWS) projects during the first quarter of 2024. The four UWS projects completed by PME are strategic, consisting of two Single Point Mooring changeover (SPM) operations, floating docks in the middle of the sea connected to pipelines on land, and two underwater pipeline works. PME Director Yada Prawira Ganta stated that these projects represent a synergy between PTK, PT Kilang Pertamina Indonesia (KPI), and PT Pertamina Patra Niaga (PPN) in supporting the smooth distribution of national energy.

In addition, PME is committed to completing the work on time and meeting HSSE (Health, Safety, Security & Environment) standards. "The project to construct a floating dock in the middle of the sea was carried out in the integrated Balongan Terminal area, with the first phase replacing the SPM of 35,000 deadweight tonnage (DWT). Then, the changeover of the SPM of 150,000 DWT in Lawe-Lawe, the operational area of Refinery Unit V Balikpapan," said Yada in an official statement on Tuesday (7/5).
