Pfizer to increase capacity with new factory



JAKARTA. Research-based drug manufacturer PT Pfizer Indonesia (Pfizer) expects to increase its production of solid oral drugs by 76 percent with its expanded factory in Pasar Rebo, East Jakarta.

“With the new factory, we will be able to increase production from 170 million pills to 300 million pills per year,” said Pfizer operational director Lukman Hidayat in a press release on Thursday. 

Pfizer Global Supply, which runs the factory, currently exports 20 percent of its production to countries such as South Korea, Hong Kong, Thailand, Vietnam, the Philippines, Malaysia and Singapore, and sells the remainder on the domestic market.


Pfizer Global Supply produces drugs to treat various diseases related to cardiovascular, inflammation and infection, as well as those with analgesic effects
