JAKARTA. The National Police say it may confiscate BlackBerrys used by journalists, who have been communicating with former Democratic Party treasurer and graft suspect Muhammad Nazaruddin through BlackBerry Messenger (BBM). National Police spokesperson Insp. Gen. Anton Bachrul Alam said the measure was part of an investigation into Nazaruddin's accusations of corruption aimed at his former boss, party chairman Anas Urbaningrum. Nazaruddin sent BBM messages to several journalists accusing Anas of bribing fellow party members during an internal election in 2009. The funds, Nazaruddin said, came from projects commissioned by state-owned enterprises.
