JAKARTA. President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo has departed for Japan to meet with G-7 leaders, in response to Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe’s invitation. The President is scheduled to deliver a keynote speech on stability and welfare topics at the G-7 Outreach Meeting. The President departed from Halim Perdanakusuma Airport in Jakarta for Nagoya, Japan on Thursday morning. He will immediately go to Ise-Shima, where the leaders of the US, England, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, and Japan are set to hold the meeting. “Addressing the issues of sustainable development, women empowerment and global health, Indonesia will highlight the importance of global partnership and the expansion of global health coverage,” said presidential communication team member Ari Dwipayana in Jakarta.
