KONTAN.CO.ID - JAKARTA. The Special Task Force for Upstream Oil and Gas Business Activities (SKK Migas) has reported a 2.2% increase in gas production in 2023 compared to the previous year. According to data as of March 2024, the gas lifting (gas flow) amounted to 5,367.7 BBTUD (billion British thermal units per day). Of this total, 4,109.6 BBTUD, or 77%, was allocated for the domestic market, with a surplus of 1,258.1 BBTUD, or approximately 23%, being exported. Hudi D. Suryodipuro, Head of the Program and Communication Division at SKK Migas, stated that future gas production is expected to continue to rise, supported by the onstream projects of Tangguh Train 3 and Jambaran Tiung Biru (JTB).
