The Indonesian Rupiah closed at a level of Rp 15,848 per US dollar at the end of trading on Friday (5/4), strengthening by 0.28% from the previous day's level of Rp 15,893 per US dollar. In Asia, the majority of currencies strengthened against the US dollar. The Rupiah recorded the largest gain of 0.28%, followed by the Indian Rupee which rose by 0.22%, the Thai Baht increased by 0.18%, and the Singapore Dollar strengthened by 0.01% against the US dollar. The Hong Kong Dollar remained flat. Meanwhile, other Asian currencies weakened against the US dollar. The South Korean Won recorded the deepest depreciation of 0.43%, the Philippine Peso weakened by 0.20%.
