Rupiah Spot Weakens 0.14% to Rp 15,920 per US Dollar on Wednesday (4/3)



KONTAN.CO.ID - JAKARTA. NEW YORK. The Indonesian Rupiah closed at a level of Rp 15,920 per US dollar on Wednesday (3/4), weakening by 0.14% from the previous day's level of Rp 15,897 per US dollar.

In Asia, the majority of currencies weakened against the US dollar. The Thai Baht recorded the deepest depreciation of 0.17%, followed by the Philippine Peso which weakened by 0.16%, the Rupiah by 0.14%, the Japanese Yen by 0.09%, the Indian Rupee by 0.06%.

Then, the Chinese Yuan by 0.04%, the Singapore Dollar by 0.03%, and the Malaysian Ringgit by 0.03% against the US dollar.

Meanwhile, other Asian currencies strengthened against the US dollar this afternoon. The Korean Won strengthened by 0.24%, the Taiwan Dollar by 0.06%, and the Hong Kong Dollar by 0.009% against the US dollar.

In the meantime, the dollar index, which reflects the exchange rate of the US dollar against the world's major currencies, stood at 104.79, down from the previous day's level of 104.81.
