The spot rupiah closed at the level of Rp 15,631 per US dollar at the end of trading on Monday (19/2), weakening 0.05% from the end of last week which was at Rp 15,624 per US dollar. In Asia, the rupiah weakened along with several other currencies. The Philippine peso weakened by 0.18%, the Taiwan dollar weakened by 0.12%, the Malaysian ringgit weakened by 0.11%, the Chinese yuan weakened by 0.05% and the rupiah also weakened by 0.05% against the US dollar. Meanwhile, other Asian currencies strengthened against the US dollar this afternoon. The Singapore dollar recorded the largest increase of 0.14%, the Japanese yen rose 0.14%, the Thai baht rose 0.06%, the Korean won rose 0.03%, and the Hong Kong dollar rose 0.01% against the US dollar.
