Rupiah Weakened by 0.18% to IDR 15,734 per US Dollar on Tuesday (2/6).



KONTAN.CO.ID - JAKARTA. The rupiah at the Jakarta Interbank Spot Dollar Rate (Jisdor) of Bank Indonesia (BI) is at the level of Rp 15,734 per US dollar on Tuesday (6/2), weakening 0.18% from the previous day which was at Rp 15,705 per US dollar.

The movement of the rupiah in BI's Jisdor is in line with the spot rupiah.

In the spot market, the rupiah closed at the level of Rp 15,730 per US dollar at the end of trading on Tuesday (6/2), weakening 0.14% from the previous day which was at Rp 15,708 per US dollar.

In Asia, the rupiah weakened along with the Malaysian ringgit which weakened 0.26% and the Hong Kong dollar which weakened 0.01% against the US dollar.

Meanwhile, the majority of other Asian currencies strengthened against the US dollar.

The Thai baht recorded the largest increase of 0.36%, followed by the Korean won which rose 0.25%, the Philippine peso rose 0.15%, the Singapore dollar rose 0.14%, the Taiwan dollar rose 0.11%, the Japanese yen rose 0.09%, the Chinese yuan rose 0.08% and the Indian rupee rose 0.03% against the US dollar.

Meanwhile, the dollar index reflecting the exchange rate of the US dollar against the world's major currencies is at 104.31, down from the previous day which was at 104.45.
