SBY prays for successful national exams



JAKARTA. President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono prayed for students who are sitting their junior high school national examinations (UN) scheduled to take place from Monday through Thursday.“All of my children, have a successful UN within the next three days. I pray that your exams will run smoothly and that you can achieve the best results,” he said via his Twitter account @SBYudhoyono on Monday morning as quoted by Antara.The nationwide UN is one of passing requirements students must achieve before they can get into the next stage of their education.More than 3.9 million junior-high level students across Indonesia are sitting the national exams while 227,743 others will take the B-Package exam.In Jakarta, the number of UN participants from junior high schools reaches 113,933, followed by 17,806 students from Islamic junior high schools and 208 others from schools for students with disabilities or Sekolah Luar Biasa (SLB).In Riau Islands, 22,268 junior-high level students are sitting the UN, which is attended by 84,458 students in West Sumatra and 32,187 in Maluku.The UN covers five subjects: Indonesian language, math, English, natural sciences and social sciences.
