In addition to the rupiah, the Thai baht also strengthened by 0.23%, the Japanese yen rose by 0.20%, the Philippine peso rose by 0.18%, the Singapore dollar rose by 0.09%, the Malaysian ringgit rose by 0.08%, the Hong Kong dollar rose by 0.02% and the Indian rupee rose by 0.002% against the US dollar. Meanwhile, other Asian currencies weakened against the US dollar this afternoon. The Korean won weakened by 0.007%, the Taiwan dollar weakened by 0.01% and the Chinese yuan weakened by 0.04% against the US dollar.
