KONTAN.CO.ID - JAKARTA. PT Telkom Indonesia Tbk (TLKM) has announced plans to distribute dividends amounting to Rp 17.68 trillion from its 2023 fiscal year profits. Each Telkom shareholder is set to receive a dividend of Rp 178.50 per share.

According to Telkom's SVP of Corporate Communication & Investor Relations, Ahmad Reza, the Annual General Meeting of Shareholders (AGM) has approved the allocation of 72% of net income as dividends.

"With this dividend amount, it means that shareholders will receive a dividend of Rp 178.50 per share," he explained at a press conference on Friday (3/5).

Reza said that shareholders eligible to receive dividends are those listed in the Register of Shareholders (DPS) of TLKM at the close of trading on May 17, 2024. 

"The payment of dividends for the 2023 fiscal year will be made no later than June 6, 2024," he added.

TLKM reported a net income attributable to the parent entity of Rp 24.56 trillion in 2023, a significant increase of 18.34% year-on-year from Rp 20.75 trillion recorded in 2022.

In addition, shareholders agreed to allocate Rp 6.88 trillion or 28% of the 2023 fiscal year profits as retained earnings.

Compared to the dividend payment from the 2023 fiscal year profits, TLKM's dividend payout ratio (DPR) has decreased. Last year, Telkom allocated 80% of net income as dividends.
